Template and Style Sheet Manager (Dreamweaver)

You can upload Dreamweaver templates to the site.

Template Alias – enter a system ID that will be displayed in the list of the existing design templates.
Template File – to upload а template file, Browse for it on your local computer and click Upload Template.

You can create design templates using Dreamweaver. The editable regions of the Dreamweaver template will be automatically replaced by the navigation blocks after the template is uploaded.

To create an editable region, follow these steps:
1. Insert the editable region in your Dreamweaver Template using Macromedia Dreamweaver software.

  • Place your cursor at the insertion point for the region.
  • Choose a command from the menu Modify > Templates > New Editable Region…
  • or click Ctrl + Alt + V
  • The New Editable Region window opens.

2. Name the editable region in compliance with SMBCMS terminology.

'menu' for the Navigation Menu,
breadcrumbs’ for the Breadcrumbs Menu,
'bottom_menu' for the Bottom Menu,
'language' for the Language Menu,
catalog’ for the Catalog Menu,
news’ for the News Menu,
article’ for the Article Menu,
gallery’ for the Gallery Menu,
global_search’ for the Site Search,
cart’ for the Shopping Cart,
'text' for the Content/Structure block


Note: names of the blocks should be without inverted commas and in lower case.

3. Save document as a .dwt file

To upload the template to the CMS, follow these steps:

1. Template Alias – enter a system ID that will be displayed in the list of the existing design templates.

2. Template File – to upload а template file, Browse for it on your local computer and click Upload Template.

The template will be added to the list of the existing templates in Templates/Templates work area.
