Catalog Service Blocks

Catalog Manager enables you to manage products that you sell on the website. A Catalog is a list of products. Products in the Catalog can be sorted by categories, manufacturers, new entries, products with special price, etc. Catalog contains service pages (Categories, Specials, What’s New, Catalog Search Result, Product). On each of these pages products are sorted by one of the criteria mentioned above. The system pulls out a product from a database and places it on a corresponding service page, in accordance with the product attributes.

Catalog service pages are accessible in Visitor Area through Catalog service blocks. Service blocks serve as links to the service pages and some of the blocks (Specials, What’s New) can even display some information presented on the service pages. Catalog service blocks can be inserted into any content pages in the Edit Content window and into Catalog and Shop service pages in the Edit Structure window.
